# Chopstick > Chopstick notices what you repeat on your Mac and builds notch widgets for it, using the coding agent you already have. Your activity log stays local. Chopstick shows widgets in a black island that grows out of the Mac's notch: compact beside it, or opened into a card. A widget can be anything you keep doing: a focus timer, the next meeting with a Join button, a dev server that went down, when to leave to catch your train. There are two ways to get one. Chopstick keeps a log of how you work, on your Mac, and suggests widgets for what you repeat, which your agent then builds. Or you describe the widget you want in plain words and your agent builds it. Either way you can keep asking it for changes. ## Key facts - Platform: macOS 15 or later. - Agents: works with the coding agent you already use (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor, Copilot or OpenCode). Yes, that's how it works. Chopstick uses the agent you already have: Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor, Copilot or OpenCode. There's no extra AI subscription. ### Where does my data go? It stays in a local database on your Mac, and Chopstick doesn't upload it. It never records the characters you type, never saves screen images, and deletes detail like screen text, copied text and full web addresses after 30 days. When your agent looks through your activity for widget ideas, what it reads goes to that agent, like anything else you share with it. ### Is it a one-time payment? Yes. $14.99 once, and updates are included. Until Nov 17, the code LAUNCH brings it down to $7.99. ### Is there a trial? Yes, 3 days with everything in it. No account or card needed. ### Which permissions does it need? None to start. Accessibility, Input Monitoring, Automation and Screen Recording each let it see a little more, and it keeps working with less if you leave any of them off. ### Which Macs are supported? Chopstick runs on macOS 15 and later. ### Is this like Alcove? Alcove is an amazing app, and it inspired this project, so go support it! Chopstick is built to be flexible and customizable, and adapts to the way you work.
