Terms
Last updated October 28, 2026
Scope
These terms apply to the Chopstick app and website, between you and Joshua Knauber (see the imprint).
Purchase
Licenses are sold by Polar as merchant of record, which handles payment, invoices, taxes and refunds under its own terms. A license is a one-time payment and includes updates.
License
A license lets you use Chopstick on up to 3 of your own Macs. You may not resell, share or transfer it, or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it.
Third-party agents
Chopstick works with a coding agent you install yourself, under its own terms. You're responsible for what you ask it to do and the widgets it creates.
Liability
I'm liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence, I'm only liable for breaching essential contractual duties, and only up to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise, liability is excluded.
Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in are unaffected. For merchants, the place of jurisdiction is Berlin.
